To whom it may concern,
General Contractors working in the Healthcare Industry must have a vast knowledge of the workings of a fully operational hospital – a knowledge that goes much deeper than typical new commercial construction. Such aspects as Patient Safety, Infection Control Policies, Interim Life Safety Measures, and the workings of Bio-Medical Technology are some examples.

I have worked with R.P. Murray for four years on multiple projects, varying from minor renovations to surgical/radiology equipment changes or upgrades to building additions/upfits to new construction, throughout Moses Cone Health System. R.P. Murray has the knowledge and resources within their staff, as well as the sub-contractors they select to make the projects they have worked on with me successful. Patient Safety is the overall most important aspect of construction in a health system, and R.P. Murray has never once compromised this. It is the responsibility of the general contractor to keep all trades aware of impacts such as noise, dust and mechanical system failure while working in a hospital.

The most comforting aspect of working as an owner's representative is the knowledge that the General Contractor who is working for you on a current project understands the environment where they are working. I feel this way about R.P. Murray.

Sincerely,

Chip Calhoun
